Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our site may collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, approximate geographic region, and security logs used to protect the website and client portal.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Send occasional updates about our services or the Maine AI Impact Conference — you can opt out at any time

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain contact and inquiry information for as long as needed to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing [email protected].

Service Providers

We use service providers to operate the website and deliver client services. These may include Cloudflare for hosting, security, D1 database, R2 file storage, and email routing; Resend for email delivery; Stripe for payment links and payment processing; Google services for fonts, maps, and workspace tools; and Formspree for legacy or fallback form handling if needed.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies required for admin access, client portal sessions, security, and basic site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your information
  • Opt out of any marketing communications

To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected].

Security

We use HTTPS, limited-access admin tools, short-lived client portal sessions, hashed login tokens, and access controls around client materials. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. Please avoid sending highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for the service.

AI Tool and Confidential Data Boundaries

Please do not submit confidential client, employee, health, financial, legal, regulated, or protected operational data through public website forms, checkout notes, or unapproved AI tools. When sensitive materials are needed for an engagement, we will define the scope, confidentiality expectations, and approved handling process first.

AI Impact Maine does not intentionally enter client confidential information into public or unapproved AI tools without written permission and an agreed service purpose.

Templates and Resources

Templates, checklists, scorecards, articles, and starter policies are educational and operational resources. They are not legal, compliance, cybersecurity, tax, financial, or procurement advice. Organizations should have qualified counsel, security, finance, or leadership reviewers approve final policies and contracts before adoption.
