Organizations already experimenting with AI.

No policy in place

You know staff are using AI tools but have no formal guidance, expectations, or governance around it.

Concerned about data risk

You're worried about what information staff might be putting into AI tools — and whether client or sensitive data is at risk.

Planning a formal rollout

You want to expand AI adoption intentionally and need a clear baseline before investing in training or tools.

New leadership or ownership

You've recently taken over or grown an organization and want to understand the current AI landscape before making decisions.

Compliance considerations

Your industry has data privacy, confidentiality, or regulatory requirements that make unmanaged AI use a real liability.

Board or stakeholder pressure

Funders, board members, or partners have asked about your AI practices and you need a clear, defensible answer.

Questions about the AI Audit.

How long does an AI Process Audit take?

Most audits take 2–4 weeks from discovery call to final report, depending on your organization's size and complexity. Smaller organizations are often completed in under two weeks.

Do we need to have a lot of AI in place already?

No — in fact, many organizations are surprised to discover how much AI is already present in their workflows through everyday tools like Microsoft 365, Grammarly, or customer-facing chatbots. The audit maps what exists, whether formal or informal.

What does the final report include?

You'll receive a plain-English written report covering: a current-state summary of AI use, a risk and gap analysis with severity ratings, policy recommendations, and a prioritized action roadmap. No jargon, no vague suggestions — just clear next steps.

How much does the AI Process Audit cost?

Pricing is scoped during the free discovery call and varies based on organization size. We offer fixed-fee engagements so there are no billing surprises. Grant funding may also be available for qualifying nonprofits and municipalities.

Can the audit be done remotely?

Yes. Most of the audit process is conducted virtually through calls, surveys, and document review. We also offer onsite visits for organizations in Southern Maine where in-person context adds value.
